Words on Homesick from Counselor

I can't believe we have entered the third week of May Term and we have so many deadline coming up for our website.

I finished my first article that talks about homesick. I had Molly Wertz, the school's counselor talks about it. I have been working on chopping footages from our interview. My interview with Molly was pretty long. Though, she was really helpful. I have a lot of good information from her.

Molly said homesick is a pretty natural response to a change in environment or something that we are used to. It is not a disorder or nothing like that.

I found a couple interesting things that for students who live very near from campus, it is better for them not to go home that often over the first weekends because it can make them feel more homesick. It might not work for everyone but students can also miss an opportunity to bound with other students.

Molly also said there are signs that people show when they feel homesick such as sleeping a lot, not eating or even isolating themselves. Isolating oneself is definitely worse in all cases.

There are so many helpful facts that Molly gave to students. I also managed to upload the footages on youtube. Watch it below!
Or here is the link :)
